ShaQuana, the miracle child, born weighing only two pounds and eight ounces, was born with a heart for musical expressions.  She has been making music as long as she can remember.  Memories as early as the age of three, she could always be found standing in front of a mirror or on top of furniture with a comb or brush as her "microphone" in her hand, singing at the top of her lungs.  Her early aptitude is not surprising when one considers the musical background of her family:  her mother was an inspiring singer who sang with gospel choir made up of he siblings and cousins.

ShaQuana began singing at the age of two in the youth choir at a local church; while making her first public singing appearance at a wedding at the age of seven, singing to the tunes of Whitney Houston's, "Share My Love."  Even though ShaQuana's introduction to music was gospel, she was also involved in secular music, singing alone and in a collaborate group at the age of 13 with a female group named "The H Girls" that consisted of five cousins; but, ShaQuana set out to establish herself as a solo artist.  Also, accredited to her experience being feartured as a back up vocalist on stages and clubs for local jazz and Rock Bands.

With many years of classical training behind her, ShaQuana displays vocal control and range that molds her distinctive style.  She composed, recorded and co-produced her current album songs for "Outside Myself".  ShaQuana's pop influences include Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
